Meet Dr. Perry

Originally from Arlington Heights, Illinois, Dr. James Perry earned his Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry and Biology at St. Olaf College. Upon graduation, he returned to Chicago to attend the University of Illinois at Chicago College of Dentistry. After graduation, he practiced as an associate in Byron, Minnesota, a small community west of Rochester. He also owned and operated a practice in Northfield for thirteen years, which he sold to open Elan Dental Arts here in Prior Lake.

One of the few dentists in the area offering conscious sedation to patients, Dr. Perry is very careful to ensure his patients’ comfort and relaxation. Dr. Perry enjoys the artistic element of dentistry, creating smiles for patients that combine beauty and function.

Always taking more continuing education courses in the newest dentistry procedures to improve and enhance his patients’ smiles, Dr. Perry is interested in the latest innovations, including implant dentistry and sleep apnea.

He is a member of the American Dental Association, the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine, Minnesota Dental Association, Southeastern Minnesota Dental Association, American Academy of Implant Dentistry, Doctors for Oral Conscious Sedation, the Academy of General Dentistry, and the Minnesota Academy of General Dentistry.

Married to his college sweetheart, Marie, an equestrian portraitist (http://www.HorseandRiderPortraits.com), Dr. Perry makes his home in Northfield, MN with their sons, Neil and Aidan, and their daughter, Molly.

Dr. Perry enjoys spending time with his wife, participating in his kid's activities, such as Molly’s horse show or Neil’s tennis matches, swimming, live theater, and listening to a wide range of music.

Meet Gloria

Gloria is the business administrator for Elan Dental Arts, and looks forward to meeting you. She enjoys working with people, and is excited to make your dental experience comfortable. If there is anything she can do to assist you, please let her know!

Gloria was born and raised in southern Minnesota. She has worked in the field of dentistry for over 30 years, both as a dental assistant and as a business administrator for a dental insurance company.

Gloria attended Canby Vocational-Technical Institute for dental assisting, graduating with her license and degree as a Certified and Registered Dental Assistant.

Gloria currently resides in southern Savage. She has one daughter and one beautiful infant granddaughter. Gloria enjoys being with family, taking walks with her dog Lucy, and reading.
